Jesus is the Only One in Heaven
Jesus is the only one in Heaven if sinless perfection is required,
for thousands of saints have come and gone but never that goal have any acquired.
Jesus is the only one in Heaven if perfect knowledge is God’s demand,
for I’ve studied and studied thousands of hours and know less than when I began.
Jesus is the only one in Heaven if conformity is where unity resides,
for I’ve lived my entire lifetime without ever being considered worthy to stand by His side.
Jesus is the only one in Heaven if perfect attendance is the goal,
for I’ve slept through my share of sermons and sang without teaching a soul.
But Jesus won’t be lonely in Heaven, for God looks at His righteousness, not mine,
for without His grace, I would never see His face, and on my own I would die.
