Good evening, everyone!
Today, January 6th, is my birthday, but it is also the birthday of a very special person in my life: my son Cayden.
After going to the office for a few hours this morning, I spent the day running, playing basketball, reading books, and enjoying time with my two-year-old.

He has taught me so much about God in the two years I’ve been able to spend with him. He really has transformed my view of God in many ways. As a father, as I’m sure all of you fathers and mothers know, it is comforting to know that if I can have so much love, patience, and concern for a little human like my son, then how much more does God love his children?
There is a line from a sitcom I like called “The Office” when Michael, the boss, tells the office to give him their undivided attention. One of the workers responds, “You can’t handle my undivided attention.” I wonder if in many ways the same is true with God. Can we even really begin to understand the depth, the richness, the magnitude of his love?
How silly of us to try and fit God into our little boxes! If we think we have God cornered in some box of doctrines, definitions, and dogmas, then what we have in there probably isn’t God. He is so much bigger than anything we can possibly imagine, as authors of the Bible said on several occasions.
If I could quantify the amount of love I have for my son, which I don’t know if that’s even possible, it’s just so mind blowing to think that God’s love surpasses even that.
What a good, good Father!
Thanks everyone for the kind birthday wishes. Have a blessed night, day, or whatever it is where you are.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20–21
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:33–36
You are beautiful
You are beautiful beyond description
Too marvelous for words
Too wonderful for comprehension
Like nothing ever seen or heard
Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom?
Who can fathom the depth of Your love?
You are beautiful beyond description
Majesty, enthroned aboveAnd I stand, I stand in awe of You
“I Stand in Awe of You”
I stand, I stand in awe of You
Holy God, to whom all praise is due
I stand in awe of You
Wonderful pic, wonderful family.
