A Priceless Conference

  • Blog

One of my great friends at North Broad, Corri, is putting on a ladies’ conference for the first of the year. She’s put a lot of work into the lessons, speakers, and handouts for all the ladies who will attend.

If you’re interested in attending and getting to know some of our family at North Broad, reach out to me and we will see what we can do.

Here is an introduction to the conference written by Corri that we put into our bulletin this week:

We have watched a lot of VeggieTales in our house. Bob and Larry and the gang have taught my kiddos many lessons through their versions of Bible stories, classic tales, and original anecdotes. One thing they are always reminding us is that, “God made you special, and He loves you very much!” As simple and clichéd as that sounds, it’s the truth. We are special to God. Priceless, as a matter of fact. So precious to Him that we are redeemed by the blood of His Son. We are told in the Bible that we are made in His image, that we are His workmanship, formed by His hand. And, as the old saying goes, “God don’t make no junk!” As the priceless children of God, we should know our self worth and carry ourselves with dignity. We should know that even if we feel broken, God still loves us and can still use us. We should know that we deserve authentic friendships, and how to be a true friend. And we should know that God has created us to be our own person, given each of us gifts and talents, and wants us to use them. He wants to use us to show others that to Him, they, too, are priceless.
